  • At Trio, it is highly recommended that clients who are new to reformer Pilates start with at least one private session. While it is not required to start with a private session, we recommend Essence (Reformer) or Rejuvenate (Reformer) group classes as your first visit.

Beginning with a private is beneficial because we can get a deep introduction to Pilates, talk through the exercises in detail and the choices we can make to move most efficiently in our own bodies with our goals in mind. You can either choose a solo private session or bring a friend or two for a duet or trio private session! In general, periodic private sessions can be helpful throughout your entire Pilates journey at any level of athletic ability.

  • If the class or session time slot is full, you can choose to be added to our waitlist. To join the waitlist, you’ll need to have a session available to reserve your spot.

As space becomes available, you will automatically be added to the class/session from the waitlist on a first come, first serve basis. If you are added to the session, you will be notified based on the notification settings configured in your app (email, app or text).

If you no longer wish to take the class and haven’t been added to the class, you may cancel without penalty online, in the app or by text/calling the studio.

If you no longer wish to take the class and have been added from the waitlist less than 12 hours prior to the class start time, please cancel the session, or notify us as soon as possible.

In the 1 hour before the start of class, you will only be added if we are able to reach you through text.

If space does not become available for the class/session time slot you were waitlisted for, you will have your session returned to your account for use.

  • It depends on the class and who is registered. At Trio, there does seem to be a high chance of getting into the classes you are waitlisted for. It seems to help if you register more than 3 days in advance, but again there are not really any set rules. We always suggest joining the waitlist because you can always remove yourself with no penalty if a space never opens up.

  • When you book a class using your account credit package, the class you purchased returns back to your account for future use. The next time you book a class, it will use this to reserve your space, rather than taking additional funds from your account balance. Your account credit balance will not automatically increase after you reschedule a class, even if it is early. Rest assured, your class is not gone and your balance can be restored manually, upon request of our in-studio team. This is the same logic when booking a private session.

  • Some classes have prerequisites. If you are new(er) to our studio, you will need to complete the prerequisites before you can systematically register for this class on your own. You can also reach out to info@trio-studios.com or text/call 508-443-4840 for us to circumvent these prerequisites and register you on your behalf.

Please note, our team will only circumvent these prerequisites in instances where the clients have taken at least one private/semi-private, essence (reformer) or rejuvenate (reformer) group class at Trio.

  • The discounted price of your session is displayed in one of the last screens within booking. Refer to the question “How do I book a class or private session?” for more information.

  • Cash, personal checks, Venmo, and credit cards are accepted for services and products, with the exception of monthly memberships. Monthly memberships are required to be paid with a valid, active credit card or Trio account credit (prepaid) balance.

  • Unfortunately, no. My scheduling system does not offer it. We accept venmo and PayPal transactions.

  • Yes!! If you are interested in bringing a friend to a session with you, please reach out to us through email info@trio-studios.com or text/call 508-443-4840. Let us help register your friend by letting us know their first and last name, phone number and email address.

  • The minimum age to attend private or group sessions is 16 years old. Parental/legal guardians will need to assist with booking and agree to the waiver and policies forms.

Classes

  • In every session we flow (move) to music for 45 minutes non-stop (you are always welcome to take breaks!!). The class is broken into sections of different series of Pilates, Pilates-inspired, and non-Pilates exercises. The instructor sets the class up before every series with spring resistance/equipment set up options to choose from. Where needed, we break down the series into “layers.” Layers are simpler versions of the exercise and added together slowly to complete the full exercise and add endurance work to the class. This method helps create an environment where people of all levels of athletic ability can move through the same flow making different choices to achieve different results and wellness goals. This is part of the Pilates magic.

  • Class times vary day to day and on the weekends. Our morning classes are at 6:15 am, 7:15 am, 8:15 am and 9:15 am. Evening classes are at 4:15 pm and 6:15 pm. For our full schedule, visit Group Pilates Sessions.

  • Our signature class styles include essence - Pilates fundamentals, rejuvenate - breathing, tone - Pilates + barre fusion, heat - jumpboard Pilates + cardio, energy - intermediate Pilates. Every class is available to all levels of fitness.

  • Clients can book 2 months maximum in advance and 1 hour minimum before the start time of a session.

  • The classes we recommended for beginners at our studio are Essence (Reformer) and Rejuvenate (Reformer). Essence focuses primarily on fundamental reformer Pilates exercises, while Rejuvenate focuses on the exercise breathing patterns.

  • If you suffer from an injury, chronic pain, severe medical condition or severe anxiety, are pre/postnatal, or have ambitious wellness goals, a private session would be helpful to assess your current athletic ability, go through any choices that would be helpful to make in sessions, and create a plan forward.

At Trio, it is highly recommended that clients who are new to reformer Pilates start with at least one private session. Beginning with a private is beneficial because we can get a deep introduction to Pilates, talk through the exercises in detail and the choices we can make to move most efficiently in our own bodies with our goals in mind. • In Trio group Pilates classes (reformer + tower), a range of springs is provided during set up described as “power” and “core” focused spring settings.

Power springs are heavier springs, adding resistance to your movement. They offer an athletic workout, perfect for those seeking a stronger challenge, who are taller or looking for more support in an exercise.

Core springs are lighter springs that allow for more controlled + targeted exercises. These springs an help engagement multiple muscle groups, and focusing on building strength from within (the core).

Choosing the right spring setting is about listening to your body. It is important to understand that what works for one person may not be the best for another. Strive to work to find a balance that suits your individual needs and goals through the class.

Pilates

  • Pilates is an exercise practice focusing on core strength, muscle toning + evenness, flexibility, and breathing. It can be beneficial for people of all fitness levels and ages. The reformer is a Pilates apparatus that makes exercises accessible and more challenging.

  • For your first class, you will arrive 15 minutes early for an introduction to the equipment. This is plenty of time to set up, review and practice changing equipment settings. In class, the instructor will explain all of the required equipment settings and how to get set up. If you have any more questions, raise your hand! Your instructor will assist to make sure you feel comfortable and get everything you need.

  • No. In the Pilates group class, the instructor will say the name of the exercise and then go into detail of how to move through the exercise. If you have any more questions, raise your hand! Your instructor will assist to make sure you feel comfortable and get everything you need.

  • Sometimes. However, it is quite common for clients not to experience soreness after a reformer Pilates session. The low-impact nature of Pilates with a focus on controlled movements and core engagement can improve muscle toning and strength without that same level of post-workout soreness typically associated with high-impact workouts. Remember, soreness is no always an indicator of an effective workout.

It’s important to remember everybody is different and individual experiences can vary. If you are concderned about the effectiveness of your workout, schedule a solo session to get personalized guidance.

Policies

  • Canceling at least 12 hours before the scheduled start time is considered to be timely at Trio.

Any session canceled less than 12 hours (late cancel) of the scheduled start time for any reason will result in the loss of that session.

No call, no show scheduled appointments (missing a class) will result in the loss of that session and an additional $20 late cancellation fee charged. A no-show is assumed 15 minutes past the scheduled time.

We understand life happens and things come up! It makes our lives a lot easier when the schedule is in order and we really appreciate any system changes even if it has to be a late cancellation. We love to avoid no show sessions if possible.
