ABOUT TRIO
To The Reader,
Trio Pilates Studio formed in September of 2021 without any Pilates equipment, instructors, a name, and in my parents’ basement. My Pilates journey started out like most: never heard of Pilates, thought of working out as a task, and motivated by superficial results. I started practicing reformer Pilates twice per week. To my surprise, I found it was the perfect combination of challenging and stretching, mind and body work, strengthening and lengthening. In seven short months, I went from brand new to Pilates, to totally obsessed and craving to move on the reformer every day. After hours of research, I determined the best option was to get a brand new Balanced Body Studio Reformer and Centerline Cadillac. It would still be four more months before I got to use them.
In the meantime, I would spend all my free hours practicing Pilates, taking instructor courses, and studying the Pilates cues in line with the Balanced Body Comprehensive Pilates Instructor program. I worked 10-12 hours each week at Boston Body Pilates Waterfront in their north end location to get as much experience working with Pilates clients as possible.
In February 2022, Trio opened the doors in the Reis Real Estate building off route 104 in Bridgewater, MA. I opened without any signs, social media posts, or even mirrors in the studio. All of those things made their way into the studio shortly thereafter, in addition to our second Balanced Body Studio Reformer, so we could offer duet sessions. I was still working a full time job, at BBP Waterfront, and at Trio Pilates Studio to make this happen. I could tell the community of Bridgewater was loving Pilates as much as I do, it always motivated me to keep going.
In July 2022, all of the new orders of Pilates equipment placed that year had arrived on the same day. I added four Allegro 2 reformers with towers, two combo chairs with split pedals, and a ladder barrel to the studio. These changes opened up a lot of doors as it allowed our clients to attend group Pilates sessions and add tower and chair variety to the Trio Pilates flows.
In September 2022, I terminated all of my other employment obligations to invest all my time, money and energy into Trio Pilates Studio.
In December 2022, Trio Pilates Studio took over the entire unit of the Reis Real Estate building. The first, original room is now named the “Orange Room.” It is used during private sessions for chair, Cadillac and ladder barrel exercise. The second room, named the “Blue Room,” is used for reformer/tower group and private sessions. I spread all of the reception, socks and waters out into the hallway to create a cozy vibe upon entering the studio space.
I am so thankful for my clients, partner, family and colleagues who have made this all possible. I am not a one woman show!
Stay tuned for more updates over time. Records are broken every month at Trio Pilates Studio.
